Roger’s “Get Excited About Looking At Art”
Series program starts this September at both the
New Trier in Northfield/Winnetka & Stephenson HS
in Buffalo Grove/Lincolnshire. The classes
address the need for lively art history
exploration in adult continuing education.
Lectures and discussions center on key events or
topics in art - as opposed to the usually
presented chronology. How did the 1863 Paris
Salon Art Show affect what we see at The Art
Institute of Chicago? Was Making Great Art
a Team Sport? How do you “read” a painting, and,
why is it fun? “Really, one 1913 NYC show, had
Matisse, Picasso, Modigliani, Monet and Renoir?”

Roger specializes in tours for adults and high
school students.
The Milwaukee Art Museum’s tour talking points,
have been enhanced by Roger’s recent art history
and arts appraisal study. The results are fun
& dynamic hour long discussions about the Art,
the Calatrava and Saarinin Architecture and how
visitors relate to what they see.
